FISHING FOR SOME ANSWERS By Phil Noack I grew up in Bay City, Michigan or at least I got older there. Living
near Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron as well as the Saginaw and Kawkawlin Rivers, I pretty much grew up with a love of the water
and especially fishing for any type of fish. I was introduced to fishing by my dad who loved to fish with his friends and
my brother and me. My sister didn’t care too much for fishing and neither did mom but they sure liked to eat the fish
we brought home! So, here’s the song my dad used to sing to us when we would go fishing: Fishy, fishy in the brook, daddy catch them by the hook. Mommy fry them in a pan,
baby eat them like a man! I guess fishing has come full circle in our family
as an enjoyable time with lots of camaraderie between friends and family. My son and daughter have enjoyed fishing with me
throughout the years and my wife likes to go for boat rides. I have been fishing for most of my life everywhere
from Lake Huron, Lake Michigan and Lake Superior for whitefish, Chinook, Coho, rainbow
trout, walleye, perch and lake trout to the Florida Keys for tarpon, Hawaii for marlin, and Ketchikan, Alaska for silver and
pink Salmon and a lot of other places in between for a variety of other fish. I live with my family in Mattawan now and am
a member of the Steelheaders of South Haven and trailer and slip my 22’ Bayliner Trophy all around Lake Michigan and
Huron. Nuclear Fishin’ is rigged with downriggers, rocket launchers, fish finders, navigation, radar and gps electronics.
I simply think it’s the greatest little fishing machine!
